Big News

Friday was a big day as I traveled to Little Rock with the family to "officially" be sworn into the bar by Chief Justice Jim Hannah in front of the Arkansas Supreme Court with the rest of the other successful July 2011 bar takers.

As if this wasn't enough excitement for one day, I also received my official acceptance letter to business school for the Walton MBA program to start in January. As any of you who know me very well are familiar, I've been job hunting since graduation without much luck. I had applied to the joint Clinton MPS/Walton MBA back in March but was unsuccessful with my admission to the Clinton School. I have to believe that everything happens for a reason and works out in the end - so I'm very excited to start this new venture and have something new to work towards as well. I'm confident that an MBA will complement my JD and future career opportunities.

What have I been up to since I posted last?

I've been terrible at updating the blog. SO... here's a quick update in bullet points and photos...

I turned 25.

I introduced Rudy Giuliani at the DLC Lecture.

Fayetteville flooded.

I was blessed by the Dalai Lama.

I graduated law school.

I met a lovely boyfriend.

I took the BarBri summer course.

I brought home a kitty cat to live with me.

I went to John Edward's psychic medium show in Branson.

I traveled to LR to take the bar exam.

I passed the bar exam.

I'm currently job hunting.

I'm obsessed with Mad Men.

I started Jillian's 30 Day Shred yesterday.

I got sworn into the bar this morning.

And now you're all caught up! :o)

Graduation Party Decorations

For my graduation party in May, I spent more time crafting decorations than I did studying for finals. Fortunately, I did indeed graduate and all my proCRAFTination didn't hurt my grades, haha. I went with a purple and red color scheme to match our graduation hoods, and it turned out really nice. I was super pleased. :o)

Cooler Crafting

I miss college and Greek Life at the U of A so much that this summer I surprised the new boyfriend with this super duper awesome cooler. I have to disclose up front that South Carolina is his alma mater, but try not to hold that against him - or me for that matter for painting a gamecock on the cooler (it is a pretty good one if I do say so myself). :o)

Wreath Obsession

Obsession might be an understatement... But they are all pretty stellar. Check 'em out. :o)

Pro-CRAFT-ination

If you follow my food blog, you've heard this before, but... I took a hiatus from my blog the past spring semester and summer as I prepared to graduate from law school and pass the bar exam. Well, good news, I accomplished both! And don't worry, all that didn't keep me from crafting - just blogging about it. So here is the last several months in photos to bring us all up to date! I'm happy to post instructions if there are any requests - just comment below!
